AN IPSWICH Town player was today arrested on suspicion of assault.
The player, a 20-year-old from Ipswich, is being questioned by Suffolk police in relation to an incident in the Purdis Farm area of the town earlier this morning.
A spokesperson for the club said: “We are aware that one of our players is being questioned by police following an incident earlier today. The Club has no further comment to make regarding this matter at this time.”
