Police set up a rolling road block after a car left the A12 and entered a ditch.

The crash happened on the northbound carriageway of the road, near the Seven Hills junction with the A14.

Police were called to reports of a car leaving the road and entering a ditch at about 11.30am.

One lane of the carriageway was closed as officers set up a rolling road block.

The road was cleared by noon.

The vehicle is thought to have been in the ditch for quite some time before being spotted by a tractor driver.

Police said the car driver had arranged recovery of the wreckage.

It is not clear if anyone suffered any injuries as a result of the crash.
