Motorists heading off the A14 onto the A137 towards Ipswich are experiencing severe delays caused by temporary traffic lights.

Traffic is backed up for roughly one mile on the route from Wherstead to Ipswich due to congestion caused by roadworks on Wherstead Road.

Motorists are queuing from the roundabout joining the A137, Wherstead Road and B1456 back to junction 56 of the A14.

The temporary traffic lights are in place from August 6 until today, August 10, while UK Power Networks carry out the installation of a new electricity supply on Wherstead Road.
