A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after he was found on a road near Lowestoft.

Police were called by the ambulance service at 10.43am on Saturday May 21, to reports a male cyclist had been injured in Flixton Road, in Blundeston, at the junction with the B1074, Somerleyton Road.

Officers believe he may have been involved in a road traffic collision.

The cyclist was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by air ambulance in a serious condition.

The road is currently closed.

Police are investigating the cause of the incident and would like to speak to anyone who may have information or may have seen the cyclist in the area at the time.
