A burglar accused of three break-ins at homes in Ipswich was arrested wearing trainers that matched footprints left at the scene of one of the crimes, it has been alleged.
Police officers stopped Michael Harvey in Handford Road, Ipswich on November 1 and found a laptop computer, that had allegedly been stolen in a burglary from a house in Handford Road earlier that day, in a bag he was carrying, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
The trainers he was wearing when he was arrested allegedly matched three sets of footwear lifts taken by scenes of crimes officers at the scene of a burglary a week earlier in Belstead Road, said Russell Butcher, prosecuting.
Harvey, 39, of no fixed address, has denied attempted burglary at a house in Burlington Road on October 23, burglary at a house in Belstead Road on October 24 and burglary at a house in Handford Road on November 1.
The trial continues.
