Trains between Witham and Braintree are expected to return to normal this morning following last night’s closure due to a shortage of staff.
Services between the two Essex stations were halted due to “a member of train crew being unavailable”, according to the Greater Anglia website.
Disruption was expected until 1.15am tomorrow.
A replacement bus service was in operation between Witham and Braintree.
