A car crash has caused fallen power cables to close a road in Thorpe-le-Soken in both directions.
The Highways Agency reported that the B1033 Colchester Road would be closed for up to two hours between the B1035 Tendring Road junction and the B1441 Weeley by-pass, following the accident at around 4.30pm.
The crash involved one car and there are no reports of any serious injuries.
