TRAFFIC and train cancellations are causing problems for commuters across the region this evening.
The A14 has been reopened following an earlier eight-vehicle smash between Nacton and Seven Hills, but there are still reports of long delays around the Bucklesham area, and this is having knock-on effects on the A12.
Meanwhile another multi-vehicle pile-up on the M11 between Bishops Stortford and Duxford at junction 10 has created havoc for drivers and those travelling to Stansted airport. Diversions via the A120 are in place but there are reports of traffic snarl-ups on many of the area’s roads as commuters try to avoid the congestion.
Trains travelling in both directions between Felixstowe and Ipswich have been cancelled until at least 5.30pm due to congestion caused by late-running freight trains earlier in the day.
