Heavy rainfall has led to a number of collisions on roads around Suffolk where standing water has caused motorists to aquaplane.

Police have responded to two incidents on the A14 – one in Bury St Edmunds, at the junction for the A134, and another in Rougham, where a driver collided with the central reservation.

At 12.13pm, police received reports of a driver being thrown half way out of their car after hitting standing water on the B1115 at Nedging Tye, Hadleigh. The male driver of a Ford Ka did not suffer serious injury.
