A woman had to be cut from a car after it hit a tree this morning.

Police were called at around 9.40 and attended the single-vehicle crash on the B1116 near Weybread along with paramedics and the fire service.

Fire crews cut the roof of the woman’s car, described only as a silver coupe, to free her.

The woman is in her 40s and was being treated by paramedics after complaining of head and shoulder injuries.

The car will require recovery.
