DELAYS built up in the town centre after a burst water main left a road partially closed and four properties without water.
Princes Street in Ipswich was closed off by police at about 3pm yesterday after reports of a burst water main flooding the road, although they were able to reopen one lane within just under an hour.
A repair team from Anglian Water was on the scene at 5pm today to get the situation under control. They isolated the problem and stopped the water escaping but it took several hours to fix the damage.
