COMMUTERS are set for a relatively painless journey to work this morning, with no major problems reported on the region’s roads or railways.

However National Express East Anglia say they have problems with line side equipment at Ilford, which could delay London-bound commuters.

Both Essex and Suffolk Police say they have seen a few minor road accidents due to the ice early this morning. But there have been no major incidents.

Forecasters are predicting the weather will be bright but with some cloudy spells and light showers expected. Temperatures will peak at seven degrees. Tonight will be dry with cloud cover likely to prevent a frost on Thursday morning.
