Travel update: Trains from Liverpool Street delayed because of level crossing problems

COMMUTERS are facing delays on the county’s roads and rail services this evening.

Traffic is moving slowly on the northbound A11 between Eriswell and Elveden Crossroads, while there are also delays on the westbound A133, St Andrew’s Avenue, in Wivenhoe between the junctions for the Colchester Road and Westway.

Meanwhile trains between Ipswich and Felixstowe are being disrupted because of a problem at a level crossing between Derby Road and Trimley, with commuters being held for up to 15 minutes.

Trains between London Liverpool Street and stations in Essex and Suffolk are also facing delays because of a level crossing problem in the Kelvedon area, which is holding up services by between five and 10 minutes.
