BUSES are replacing trains this morning between Norwich and Cambridge after overnight engineering works overran.

There are no other significant disruptions on the region’s main rail or road networks.

All lines on the Norwich/Cambridge route are currently blocked and services may be cancelled at short notice, with disruption expected to last until 10.30am.

A Greater Anglia spokesman said: “Train services are being replaced by road transport, customer should expect extended journey times of up to 1 hour. Greater Anglia would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.”

Temperatures are expected to peak at about 9C this afternoon and there is a chance of rain around noon.
