Three men have been arrested after a car was set on fire in Thetford last night.

Police were called around 8.45pm on February 16 to reports of anti-social behaviour and vehicles racing on Barnham Cross Common.

Officers attended and discovered a silver Mercedes on fire. Enquiries revealed this vehicle had been stolen from a property in Mounts Pit Lane in Brandon between 8.30am on February 15 and 3.50pm oFebruary 16.

The trio, aged 17, 24 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and arson and taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning. All three remain in custody.
