The royal phone line, set up for the first time, is also available to members of the public by dialing 0871 271 3100.
Calls are charged at the normal rate plus 10p a minute to cover the cost of providing the facility.
The Queen's message was screened on TV and aired on radio at 3pm today, when telephone lines were opened until 3pm on Tuesday January 6.
The broadcast is also available on the Internet with the text version accessible through the British Monarchy website at www.royal.gov.uk.
