The driver of an articulated lorry received some “strong words of advice” from police after his attempts to turn the vehicle blocked a Suffolk road.
Officers had to close a stretch of Coddenham Road, in Needham Market, at about 3.30pm after receiving calls from other motorists reporting “chaos” caused by a turning heavy goods vehicle.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary said the driver had encountered “a lot of trouble” attempting to get under the low railway bridge in Coddenham Road. She said the road reopened at 3.53pm and that the driver had received some strong words of advice.
