The inside lane of the Bury St Edmunds-bound carriageway of the A14 at Haughley was blocked for some time after a lorry collided with the central reservation barrier at about 7.30am.
A female passenger was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment although her injuries were not thought to be serious.
At 9.18am, emergency services were called to the Felixstowe-bound carriageway of the A14 at Wetherden following a collision between two vehicles.
One person suffered a shoulder injury and the road was kept open by police.
