Electrical goods and tools are among items taken in two burglaries in Chitts Hill, Colchester.
A computer, quad bike, television, CDs and a CD player were taken from one address between 10.30pm on Wednesday and 8.20am the next day.
Tools were stolen from another property in the road between 8pm on Thursday and 9am the next day.
Dc Claire Jennings, of Colchester CID, said: “We are appealing to the public and residents in the area who have information to come forward.
“We would also encourage people to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area to us.”
Separately, there have also been reports of someone driving a white Ford Transit van in the Colchester area offering goods for sale, and officers would like to speak to that person as they may have information to help them with their investigations.
