A total of five cars have been involved in two separate collisions on the A14 near Beyton.

A police spokesman said three vehicles had collided around 400 yards before the exit slip road on the eastbound carriageway.

There were no injuries reported and all drivers had exchanged details, the spokesman said.

However the inside lane of the carriageway was blocked by the collision, which happened at around 5.15pm.

Shortly afterwards a two-vehicle crash happened behind the first collision, also on the eastbound carriageway.

The two incidents have caused serious delays for motorists and recovery is believed to be required for at least one of the vehicles.
