TWO people are feared dead after a light aircraft smashed into a major railway line.
The single-engined propellor aircraft hit power lines above the West Coast Mainline shortly before midday.
It is not yet known how many people were on board, but police said there were potentially two fatalities in the crashwhich happened between Rugeley and Stafford.
The accident has caused disruption on the rail route between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly, with severe delays and cancellations.
