MORE than 170 jobs have been lost after flagging music retailer Zavvi today announced the closure of 22 stores - including two in this region.
Administrator Ernst & Young said that the closures would come into effect immediately.
The two stores to close in our region are both in Braintree - one in the town itself and the other at the Freeport shopping village.
14 jobs will be lost.
It is another blow for the Essex town, which discovered it is also to lose its Marks and Spencer store yesterday.
The remaining 92 Zavvi stores, including one in Ipswich, will continue to trade as efforts to sell the business continue.
