Two men have been charged with attempted murder after a man sustained injuries to his chest and face in Bury St Edmunds.
Richard McClenaghen, 47, of no fixed abode Bury St Edmunds and Jamie Turner, 43, of Caie Walk, Bury St Edmunds have both been charged with attempted murder and will appear before Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Police were called by a member of the public at 6.45pm on Monday to reports of a stabbing on Ridley Road.
The victim, who is in his 40s and also lives in the town, was taken to West Suffolk General Hospital for further treatment.
The two men were located shortly afterwards, arrested and taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
