Unexploded bomb found in Fornham St Genevieve field

An unexploded bomb was found in a field in Fornham St Genevieve this afternoon.
Suffolk police were called at 12.40pm, after a call was made by people that were undertaking an archaelogical dig, a force spokesman said.
It is believed they discovered a 29mm Spigot mortar bomb.
A bomb disposal unit was tasked to the scene, who blew up the discovery in the field.
The B1116 was closed for short time while the incident was dealt with.
A police spokesman said the bomb had been disposed of by 3.35pm.
