A busy road near Chelmsford has reopened after a firefighters tackled an unexplained van fire.
The A130 at Howe Green was closed between the A1114 Great Baddow bypass and the A132 Burnham Road after the vehicle caught fire at around 6pm.
Firefighters reported the van contained six railway detonator disks, which contain explosives, and so a 50m exclusion zone was set up as a precaution.
A water jet was used to cool the detonators and fire crews reported the incident dealt with shortly after 7.30pm.
