The A14 is now clear following an oil spill on the Orwell Bridge earlier this morning.
Suffolk police received reports of the spillage on the westbound carriageway at junction 57 for Nacton at 11.30am.
A spokesman said: “Recovery company Atkins were called to sand the area.
“Traffic was backed up as far back as Seven Hills.”
