THE A14 has been reopened following a three-vehicle crash earlier this afternoon.

The collision happened on the westbound carriageway about 100 yards before the junction for Wherstead Interchange at 5.10pm and involved two cars and a lorry.

The crash blocked lane two of the carriageway and caused long tailbacks.

A Suffolk police spokesman said: “There were three walking wounded and one person needed hospital treatment

The road reopened just before 6.45pm.
