A 16-year-old boy has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery at a shop in Haverhill.

The teenager, arrested yesterday, was today charged with attempted robbery and possession of a firearm while committing an offence after an incident at a convenience store in Primrose Hill.

It took place at around 7.55am on Friday.

The boy has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at West Suffolk Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning, police said.
