FIREFIGHTERS were on the scene of a house fire today which has left a property completely smoke-logged.
The fire in a house in North Road, Clacton, was reported at 2.30pm today.
Three crews from Clacton and Weeley battled the flames using four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire, but the blaze was so serious they called for assistance from another crew in Colchester.
The mid-terraced house was 100 per cent smoke-logged and has left the property very badly damaged.
Fire officers had the blaze under control by 3.40pm and are now investigating the cause along with police.
