ACCIDENTS on the A12 are causing delays for drivers.

- A12 southbound, Junction 26 (Eight Ash Green) - outside lane is blocked

- A12 southbound, Junction 25 (Marks Tey) - Outside lane closed. Traffic queuing back towards J29 (A120) along the Colchester bypass.

- A12 northbound - lane closed on the Colchester bypass between J27 (Spring Lane) and J29 (A120 Crown interchange) as emergency repair work to land banks takes place. Traffic slow to J25 (Marks Tey).

- Two vehicle accident at mini roundabout at junctions of Church Road and Kelvedon Road (B1023). The road was partially blocked.

Paramedics were called to the A12 London-bound near the A120 at Marks Tey at 7.15am following an accident between two cars and a van, which left a motorist injured.

A Volvo V50, a Vauxhall Vivaro Panel Van and a Mercedes Sprinter Panel Van were involved in the collision.

Essex police said ambulance crews treated two men who were reportedly suffering from head injuries.

The spokesman said the severity of the injury was not known.

The vehicles have been removed from the carriageway but one lane remains closed.

Meanwhile, paramedics are treating a male driver after he suffered injuries in a collision involving two vehicles.

The incident took place on the A12 Colchester Bypass northbound near Colchester United football ground at around 7am.

A police spokesman said firefighers have been called following reports of fuel leaking onto the road.

The incident involved a Ford Mondeo and a Renault Megane.

The police spokesman added the extent of the driver’s injuries are not yet known.
