CREWS were called to a dock after reports someone had fallen several feet onto a boat.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue received the call to the Fish Docks in Lowestoft last night after ambulance staff arrived just after 11.15pm.
Ambulance staff needed assistance in lifting the casualty who had fallen seven feet from the dock onto a boat moored at the quayside below on the water.
Gary Sanderson, communications manager for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: “We were alerted at 11.15pm and a male in his 40s was taken to James Paget University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”
The fire crew from Lowestoft used a basket stretcher to lift the casualty.
By 12.50am the rescue had been completed and the fire crew returned to their station.
