Update: Crews rescue person trapped in vehicle in Scole

A WOMAN was cut out of a vehicle which had been involved in a road traffic collision in Scole last night.

Two appliances from Diss attended the accident and arrived at the scene on the A140 at 11.10pm on Thursday, September 13.

Crews used hydraulic rescue and vehicle stability equipment to release the casualty.

An ambulance spokesman said the woman, believed to be in her 50s, had been taken ill at the wheel of the vehicle.

She was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further care.
