Firefighters in Essex tackled a blaze in a field in East Mersea where 200 hay bales were alight.
The fire, which spread to a hedge row, was in a field on Church Lane, adjacent to Coopers beach holiday park and youth camp.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident at around 8.45pm, with appliances from West Mersea and Colchester dispatched along with an off road vehicle from Manningtree.
By 11.30pm firefighters were making steady progress to extinguish the fire. Crews are using one hose reel and two backpack sprayers.
The fire was out by around 12.15am.
