A busy road on the Essex/Suffolk border will be closed overnight following a large fuel spill.
Essex Police were called to the A131, between Sudbury and Halstead, at about 3.30pm following a crash between a lorry, believed to be a tanker, and a car.
The road near Wickham St Paul was closed by officers with fire crews also arriving at the scene.
A force spokeswoman said no-one had been injured but a 15 mile diversion was now in place.
She added the road would be closed until at least the morning while the Highways Agency cleaned up the diesel.
