A 24-year-old man sought in connection with the death of another man who died following an assault in Braintree, has been arrested this evening in Loughton.
The arrested man, from Southend, will be taken to an Essex Police station and questioned on suspicion of murder.
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have been investigating following a disturbance at premises in Cressing Road, Braintree, at around 11pm last night.
The alleged victim, a 24-year-old man from the Southend area, died in Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire after being stabbed in the chest. A second man was injured, but his injuries are not life threatening.
A 57-year-old man from Braintree has been arrested in connection with the incident and a 20-year-old woman has been arrested in Braintree for assisting an offender.
