POLICE divers searching a submerged car discovered in the River Waveney near to St Olaves have found a body which is believed to be that of a missing man from Henstead.

A silver Volkswagon Golf, identical to that owned by Mr Watson, is being recovered from the river this afternoon.

The body of a man has been discovered in the car.

No formal identification has taken place but police have revealed they believe the man is 25-year-old Charles Samuel Watson, known as Sam.

There were no suspicious circumstances, according to police, and the death is being treated as a fatal road traffic accident.

As reported, Mr Watson was last seen in the early hours of Easter Monday when he split up from his friends on a stag do in Great Yarmouth.

Mr Watson had been due to stay with friends but did not show up. He was last seen around 2.30am in Caesars Bar, Marine Parade.

Friends have put out messages on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter - using the hashtag #findsam - to help trace Mr Watson, who owns a silver VW Golf, registration AY07 MGV.

Anyone who may have seen him since the early hours of Monday or anyone with information about where he is now should call police on 101.
