Greater Anglia customers are having to put up with continued delays to services after various incidents earlier today.

A level crossing fault at Baylham, near Needham Market, required the attention of engineers and caused trains between Needham Market and Ipswich to run at reduced speeds.

Then later in the day a person was hit by a train between Ilford and Seven Kings.

This caused further havoc, with many trains being cancelled or altered at short notice.

Disruption due to the second incident is likely to continue until at least 9pm.

This affects a number of services calling at Ipswich, Stowmarket and beyond to Norwich, as well as back towards London Liverpool.
