MOTORISTS travelling on the A12 in Chelmsford are continuing to face delays following a two-vehicle collision this morning.
The crash happened just before 6.30am near J16 on the northbound carriageway.
Vehicles involved in the crash were a silver Ford Focus and a lorry.
The lorry shed its load of an estimated 20 tonnes of rubbish in the crash.
The main carriageway is closed, with traffic being routed around the junction.
One person suffered minor injuries.
Police estimate the northbound carriageway will be closed for another couple of hours while the road is cleared.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
