Update: Suffolk County Council staff back online after power surge causes IT failure

Staff at Suffolk County Council have regained access to their phone lines and emails after a power surge caused disruption today.

Employees at Mid Suffolk and Babergh district councils were also affected but the phone line for urgent enquiries remained open during the day.

A spokesman for Suffolk County Council said all staff members now have access to their phone lines and email accounts again after the IT problem was fixed.
