Traffic on the A14 near Woolpit has returned to normal following police warnings to approach the area with caution this morning, after a number of horses were spotted close to the road.
Police were alerted shortly after 7am to the stretch of road near junction 47, for the A1088 Woolpit.
Officers attended to help remove the horses from the roadside.
A police spokesman said that the animals had been cleared by 8.15am.
