A group of travellers that had pitched up at a supermarket car park near Ransomes Europark in Ipswich, have moved on.
Two caravans arrived at the John Lewis and Waitrose car park in Ransomes Way, Ipswich at around 8.30pm yesterday. Two more also pitched up at the entrance to Futura Park. Both were still parked up this morning, with at least two police cars carrying out patrol checks around the car park.
Police said officers said they were “monitoring the situation”.
A Waitrose and John Lewis store official told this newspaper: “They will be moving on in the very near future, apparently.”
A police spokeswoman confirmed that the group had moved on at around 12pm.
