A WOMAN is today in a “critical but stable” condition after a two-car collision in Stowmarket.
The 53-year-old was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, after suffering a serious head injury in the smash in Combs Lane.
It happened shortly before 5pm and involved a silver Toyota Celica and a blue Renault Clio.
Fire crews cut one casualty from the wreckage of the crash.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the smash to call Pc Allie Cotton at Suffolk the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
