A MOTORIST has been freed from her car following a crash in Essex.
Emergency services were alerted to the accident, which happened in Middleborough, Colchester, just after 3pm.
Two fire crews from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service were sent to the scene.
Firefighters used two sets of cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car to release the trapped woman by 3.35pm.
Police officers have closed the road in both directions between the North Station Road junction and the A134 Westway junction.
