A van crashed into the front of a hairdressers in Clacton this morning.
The vehicle smashed into The Hairdresser, in Old Road, Clacton, just after 9am.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance were called, and the support of Urban Search and Rescue was immediately requested to help stabilise the building and make the area safe.
Crews also evacuated residents of the flats above the shop premises as a precaution.
Firefighters then worked alongside the East of England Ambulance Service to allow them to access the man.
The front of the shop has been badly damaged by the collision.
