Another scorching day is forecast in the region today – with temperatures possibly hitting the 33C (91F) mark – but there is a chance of thunderstorms later.
The weather will again see people reaching for the sun cream as another very hot and sunny day is expected across Suffolk and Essex.
However, cloud is expected to build throughout the afternoon, with the risk of some heavy thundery showers across east Suffolk and Essex this evening.
The thundery rain is expected to clear after midnight and it looks set to be an uncomfortable and humid night.
The weather is expected to be cooler tomorrow – around 25C (77F) – before temperatures ease as the week goes on, with wind and spells of rain predicted.
