OFFICERS have released CCTV footage of a burglary in which thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes were stolen in Essex.
Three men forced their way into the Co-op store in Rochford Way, Frinton-on-Sea, on June 23 at 11.50pm and stole boxes of cigarettes.
The trio stashed the cigarettes in a duvet cover before jumping over the counter and fleeing the scene.
Sergeant Pete Gerard said: “The offenders in the burglary were brazen in their actions.
“They continued with the crime even though the alarm activated. “I am hopeful that the clear images will lead to identification and the arrest of the offenders.” Anyone with information or who recognises the men should call Essex police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
