The last known movements of a man murdered in Colchester have been released by detectives.
James Attfield, 33, of East Bay, Colchester, was found with multiple stab wounds in the town’s Castle Park on Saturday morning.
He was declared dead at the scene and police have launched a murder inquiry.
Today detectives have released CCTV footage showing Mr Attfield the last time he was seen alive.
Mr Attfield was in the River Lodge pub, on Middleborough, Colchester, on Friday evening.
Det Ch Insp Simon Werrett said he was wearing a dark coloured thigh-length jacket, green and white checked shirt, dark trousers and black shoes.
The victim left the pub at 10.09pm, and DCI Werrett is keen to discover what Mr Attfield did between leaving the pub and his body being found.
