A team of volunteers from New Life Family Church, in conjunction with Stowmarket Town Council, took their paint brushes to Boulters Bridge in Ipswich Road as part of the good neighbour scheme and #LoveStowmarket.

The town council operates a good neighbour scheme which takes on boundary issues with its neighbours to deal with areas of Stowmarket which may need attention.

Pastor Mike Smith, of the New Life Family Church, said: “#Love Stowmarket is a local initiative to show the people of the town that they are special and that Stowmarket is a great place to live.

“This latest project working with Stowmarket Town Council was to paint and refurbish Boulters Bridge which was looking a bit sad for a while.

“The team of volunteers have been there every Saturday in August in order to complete the work which is now finished.”
