Walton on the Naze: Fire in roof void of semi-detached house

Firefighters were called to a fire in the roof void of an extension adjacent to a semi-detached house in Walton on the Naze.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire by just before 2.10pm.
A thermal image camera was used to check for any remaining hotspots.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and an investigation will be carried out.
