A MAN is due to appear in court today after having been charged with firearms offences following a disturbance in north-east Essex.
Police had initially been contacted shortly before 11.30pm on Tuesday, July 31 following reports of a disturbance inside a block of flats on Spendells Close in Walton. Whil at the scene officers arrested a man.
Damien Spear was charged with one count of being in possession of a firearm (an air weapon) with intent to cause fear.
The 21-year-old unemployed man from Junction Road in Tufnell Park has been detained in police custody prior to his appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today.
